The flat-Blunt Trauma Thoracic Rig (f-BTTR) is an evolution of the BTTR for assessing the risks of blunt trauma based on dynamic loading effects. Whether the trauma results from ballistic armour strikes, kinetic energy less-lethal munition impacts or non-penetrating projectiles like baseballs, the f-BTTR can assess injury risks with 3D measurement of the deformations, contact area or volume using two non-contact laser line sensors.  A fully integrated custom software application simplifies data collection, analysis and reporting of various injury functions and risks.
