The Mandible Load Sensing Headform can be used to evaluate the level of impact protection provided by facial/jaw guards by assessing the jaw forces and head accelerations. Behind armour effects from ballistics impacts or from blunt force impact can be investigated. The articulating jaw and human-like compliance also make it suitable for studying mouth guards and helmet retention strap loads.
